“I’ll do whatever I want, daddy. I’m 20 years old. And now, I think that’s enough. Enjoy your day, daddy!”
I hang up the phone.
Drake shakes his head. “I knew he wasn’t going to like it.”
“I don’t care what he likes. Not anymore. I won’t stay locked up in his house forever. I have dreams.”
“Oh yeah? What are those?”
Drake stares at me — like he’s really taking me in. Every inch of me. I can see his dark brown eyes moving up and down as he examines me. I’ve never felt this noticed before in my entire life. It makes me a bit uneasy, to be honest.
“Maybe I shouldn’t tell you my dreams,” I reply. “We should just stay strangers. You’re just looking after me, right?”
I want to open up for him. I think he’s genuinely interested. Still, I think I’ve already involved him in enough trouble for one day. I shift uncomfortably in my chair as I begin to feel the wetness growing between my legs. I start to feel very awkward all of a sudden. A prickly feeling washes over me, and I feel my face flush. It’s then I begin to notice my rapid breathing and pounding heart. Can I let myself feel this way? Have I made a mistake? Maybe I should leave after all. I can see this turning out badly for me. If I get too close to Drake and my father has any sense at all that it’s happening, then he will try to hurt him. I can’t let that happen…
But I can’t look away from this very intense and powerful man who makes my insides tingle from my head down to my —
I shake my head to get rid of the very naughty thoughts I’m starting to have. I wonder what it might be like to be pressed up against Drake as he’s thrusting inside of me…
“You ok, sweetheart? You look like you’re terrified all of a sudden.”
“Is that what I look like, really?”
“Yes, you do. I’m not going to hurt you. Ever.”
“I didn’t think you were going to do. I guess it just hit me what I’ve done here — to you. I’ve put you in danger. Maybe I should go back to my father after all. I’m really sorry for the whole thing, Mr. Fierro.”
Drake slides a finger under my chin and tilts my head up. “It’s Drake, beautiful. Remember?”
A shudder works through my entire body. “Yeah. I remember.”
He takes his finger away, and suddenly the bottom of my chin feels very cold without it. I long for his touch again. But I know it’s best if I don’t get too close to him, or we’ll both be in a lot of trouble.
“You hungry?” He asks.
My stomach rumbles. I hadn’t thought about food all day, but it might be a good idea.
“Um, yeah, I am. But I can just go downstairs and get a protein shake or something from your cafe.”
“Nonsense. I’ll take you out for lunch. It will give us a chance to get to know each other better.”
“I thought we agreed that was a bad idea.”
“You agreed it was a bad idea. I didn’t agree to anything like that. Just give me a moment and let me get changed for lunch. We’ll check out a new trattoria that opened down the street.”
“I’d rather skip the Italian food if that’s all right with you,” I whisper. “I think I just want a cheeseburger, or something.”
His eyes light up. “A girl after my own heart,” he says. “We’ll go to my favorite burger place just a few blocks from here.”
He grabs a gym bag. “Stay here for a few minutes while I change. I’ll be right back.”
“I’ll be waiting with baited breath,” I reply.
He laughs. “I know you will be.” And as he heads out the door and shuts it behind him, I feel my heart drop into my stomach. It’s going to be very hard to spend time with Drake and not want to just give myself to him. I think it’s undeniable that he wants me. I want him too.
This has never happened to me. Angelo doesn’t look at me the way Drake does. Angelo only agreed to marry me because he wants to inherit my father’s business someday. He doesn’t care for me at all. I’ve never spent any time alone with Angelo, because I told my father there was no way I would do it. I’ve been a good girl all these years, and that’s how I planned on it staying till my wedding night — as long as my marriage was to a man I loved.
I focus on my bouncing legs and trembling hands while I wait for Drake. He soon returns in black pants and a black button-down shirt that seems a little too tight for him. His muscles have probably grown too much since the last time he wore the shirt.
“Shall we go?” he asks.
“Look at you. Mr. Fancy.”
“I’m trying to impress a girl. Do you think she’s impressed?” He asks.
“I wouldn’t waste too much effort on her, Drake. She’s nothing special.”
“That is where you are wrong, sweetheart.”
My heart slams against my chest, sinks down, rises, and then resettles where it belongs. That’s how it feels any way. And I am hardcore gushing.
We’re just going to lunch at a burger place, I remind myself. But I get the strange feeling this could be the most important lunch of my life.

I bring Amelia to Fast Eddie’s Gyros down the street from my gym. I let her order first. She gets a cheeseburger, large fries, and a chocolate shake. I order a grilled chicken salad and a bottle of water. It’s only when we get to our table and sit down that I realize what a mistake I’ve made in ordering the salad in front of this girl. She picks up her burger and frowns at it before setting it down.
“Is everything okay?”
“Everything’s fine — I just feel like I should have gone with the salad too.” She laughs nervously.
“Trust me. I’d much rather be eating what you’re eating right now. But if I’m gonna get back into fighting shape, then I have to force myself to enjoy this salad. Don’t be nervous to eat whatever you want in front of me. Let’s make that rule number one of our time together, ok?”
Our eyes lock. “There are rules? I thought I was finally free of those!”
“The only rule is that you be yourself around me. I assume from living with your father that you’ve had to hide who you are. You don’t have to do that with me. I want to know the real Amelia.”
Her smile grows so big and bright. It’s like it’s been chained up for a long time and is finally breaking through to its full beautiful perfection.
“No one knows who I am. And no one has ever cared before. I think you’re going to force me to break my rule about not telling you about myself.”
“Sweetheart, I’d sit here and listen to you go on about yourself forever. Call me intrigued.”
Her smile fades away and she opens up a ketchup packet. She smears some on her finger, and then leaps up and reaches across the table at my forehead. She swipes the ketchup across my forehead. We both burst into laughter as she sits back down. I haven’t felt this relaxed and at ease with someone since I was a much younger man.
“Ok, I wasn’t expecting that.”
“I want to be fun, Drake. That’s the kind of girl I want to be.”
“Well, that was certainly fun for me.” I look around the room and some other diners stare at me while shaking their heads. I’m pretty sure they’re jealous of us.
“You’re just too handsome. I needed to bring you down a notch,” she says.
I shake my head and dig into my salad. I don’t wipe the ketchup off the entire time. For the next thirty minutes I listen to Amelia tell me about life as a mob boss’ daughter. It’s a mostly tragic tale that comes complete with sound effects. She’s trying to make it seem funny, but she’s seen a lot of bad things, and I’m sure it’s going to take her a lifetime to heal from it. But I want more than ever to be the guy who takes her hand and holds her close while she cries it all out.She deserves a better life, and I’m certain I can give it to her if we can both just get away from her father.
“You haven’t said a word in a long time,” she finally says.
“I’ve just been listening to you.
I’m not all that interesting, so I don’t have much to say. But the sound of your voice is magical. I have to be honest with you.”
“Drake Fierro, I like your honesty.”
She flashes that perfect smile again, and I have to shift in my seat as my manhood swells again. I’m thirty-two years old, but I feel eighteen again.
*
“What next?” Amelia asks as we head out of Fast Eddie’s.
“Oh, am I supposed to entertain you now?” I tease.
“Yes,” she replies firmly.
As we’re walking down the sidewalk, she starts off with plenty of distance between us. But now she moves closer. I look all around us. I’m sure her father’s thugs are somewhere nearby, so I have to be careful not to make it look like Amelia and I are getting too close. We’ll save that for when we’re in private…
But Amelia bumps into me on purpose and giggles as she does so.
“Hey, watch it. You’ll knock me into the street,” I tease her.
“Oh, come on. You don’t even move when I do that. You’re made of bricks. Or maybe steel.”
I gently bump into her, and she goes flying into the grass. I barely tapped her!
“Your strength is insane!”
“I am strong, but you definitely exaggerate. I swear you’re a comedian, girl.”
As she comes back over to the sidewalk, I take the risk and grab hold of her hand. And I don’t let go for the rest of the walk back to my gym.
“So, I’m thinking I could leave work early. It’s nice out today, and we could hang out on the beach if you want.”
“That sounds perfect,” she replies. “You really don’t care if my father’s men see us, huh?” she says as she swings my hand up.
“If your dad calls and complains about it, you can just tell him that I’m looking out for you, and sometimes that requires holding your hand so you don’t break free and do something crazy. You’re a free-spirited girl, and I have a feeling you’ll get into trouble if I don’t keep a close eye on you.
“He’ll buy that for sure,” she says. “Ya know, I think I might jump into the lake today. I know it’s only May, but I’ve never gone swimming in Lake Michigan.”
“Never?”
“Nope. There’s a lot I haven’t done. As a kid I mostly just stayed in my room and read books all day.”
“What kind of books did you read?’
“Promise not to laugh at me.”
“I don’t think I can make that promise,” I reply as I squeeze her hand.
“Fine. I’ll tell you, anyway. I’m a big fan of alien science fiction romance.”
“Alien, what?” I say with a chuckle.
“I knew you’d laugh at me!” She scoots in closer and nuzzles my arm. I guess she doesn’t care either what her dad’s men see. “You know what alien guys have?”
“No clue.”
“They have very big — muscles. Just like you.”
“Muscles. I’m sure that’s what you meant to say.”
“Well, if you’re thinking of something else, that’s your problem, mister. My mind is pure, and I have never had a dirty thought in my life!”
“You’re a sweet and innocent little liar, Amelia Vera.”
“Not so little,” she replies as she pats her stomach.
“I’m a giant next to you. An alien giant.”
“You’re cute. Can I keep you?” she asks.
“Maybe it will be me who is keeping you,” I reply.

We walk to the beach and I find a secluded spot for us near the rocks. It’s not very crowded today, which is perfect for my purposes. As we were walking here, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much I want to kiss her. And how I was going to do it once I got her here. When Drake Fierro wants something, he goes for it. What can I say?
Amelia takes her shoes off and walks into the shallow water. Her jaw drops and I have to laugh at the sight.
“Oh, damn that’s cold!” she says as she leaps backwards and onto the dry sand once more.
She watches me as I take off my clothes and lay them on a rock.
“Guys are so lucky. They can get half naked on a beach and nobody says a thing.”
“You could take your dress off,” I suggest.
“No way!” she replies.
“Suit yourself.” I run into the water without a single problem. Once I’m completely in, I gesture for her to join me.
Amelia stands on the edge of the water and shakes her head “no”.
“Come on. It’s not so bad at all once you get used to it. And I’ve got a surprise for you if you join me in here.”
She crosses her arms over her chest. “What’s the surprise?”
“You’re going to have to take your dress off and get in the water. You can swim, right?
“No fair. And yes I can swim just fine!” she exclaims as she pulls her dress off.
Now, a newly motivated Amelia walks back into the water and shivers as she gets about halfway in. I move towards her and my arms around her. She shudders against me.
“I can make it further in. I’m just going slow. It’s ok,” she whispers.
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to.”
“No. I want my surprise.”
I look around us. No one is nearby, so I think we’ll be fine.
I let go of her and take a step back to admire her beauty. She’s wearing a pink bra and matching panties that I can make out through the water.
“You always look at me so hard,” she says.
I tilt her face up towards mine and lean in closer. Our lips are now just inches apart. Our eyes are locked till she closes hers.
“What are you going to do?” she asks softly.
“What I’ve wanted to do since I saw you last night,” I reply. “And you showing up at my gym this morning just made me want it even more.”
“I don’t see how that’s possible —”
I press my lips to hers, and in that instant I swear I can feel the electricity passing between our mouths. During a fight my adrenaline is at the max and it seems as though I can feel all the energy of the universe coursing through my veins. I’m having a similar feeling right now as our kiss slowly builds. I grasp her thick bare waist and dig into her soft flesh. She lets out a slight yelp of surprise followed by a primal moan that I can feel reverberating through her entire body.
My cock is harder than it’s ever been, and I want to claim her now. Right here. Right in the water. If I wait another second to slide into her, then I feel that’s too long of a wait.
But I can’t do that here. The beach isn’t packed today, but there are still people around. It’s possible Amelia’s dad has eyes on us right now. But I don’t care. I need her so bad that my whole body trembles with a level of desire I’ve never experienced before. Amelia is perfection. Amelia and I together is the right mix to set this world on fire.
I may not be able to take her out here. But I can make her feel how much I want her. Our kiss has taken a turn from deep desire to a feeling of mutual desperation as our tongues whirl around each other with increasing passion.
I pick Amelia up and she wraps her legs around my waist. I carry her further away to the totally uninhabited side of the beach. I set her down without breaking our kiss, and cup my hand over her sex. She shudders just from this connection. So I peel her panties to the side and glide one finger slowly over her slit. She pulls away from the kiss and catches her breath. She stares at me in wonder for a moment.
“What are you doing?” she gasps between moans as I slide my finger across the full length of her entrance once again.
“Making you feel good,” I growl.
“Here?” she asks.
“Right here. I need to feel you.”
She presses her forehead into my stomach and trembles in the water as I slide two fingers inside of her, and position my thumb against her clit. I slowly thrust my fingers inside of her warm pussy as I circle her pearl. She begins to rise and fa
ll — humping my fingers and moaning louder. I caress the back of her head; working my hand into her soft black hair and pushing her against me as her as she twists onto my fingers.
“Faster, please,” she begs. “I’m so close.”
It would be cruel to deny her wish. I dig deeper into her as my thumb speeds up. I can’t wait to get her out of the water, take her home, and bury my face between her thick juicy thighs. My thirst for her juices on my tongue becomes a craving that will not let up.
She looks up at me with lustful eyes, and then I watch as they roll backwards. She covers her mouth and screams into it as she grinds on my fingers.
When she seems to have come back down, I pull my fingers out of her and hold her trembling body against mine.
“Thank you,” she whispers. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
“No need to thank me, sweetheart. I needed to do that.”
“This is crazy, right?”
“Crazy would be if I didn’t take you home right now and bury my tongue inside of you.”
“Ok. After what you just did, I think you can do whatever you want to me.”

There’s no time for me to stop and look around Drake’s condo. The reason is that my eyes are closed and my lips are locked onto his. There’s no breaking us apart at this point. We’ve been like this since the parking garage. And we didn’t even stop kissing for Drake to hit the button on the elevator.
Now I’ve got my arms around his neck and legs around his waist. He holds me up as though I were weightless. For once in my life I’m not really aware of being a big girl. It just seems like something that doesn’t matter. It certainly doesn’t matter to him — he’s decided he wants me, and he’s going to devour me.
He sets me down on a kitchen table, and it holds still beneath me — which is a miracle, given how much I’m shaking right now. Drake leans in and whispers into my ear: “There’s no need to be so nervous, beautiful. I’ve got you.”
No man has ever made me feel reassured about anything. In fact, I tend to outright distrust men in general. When all the men in your family are involved in the mob, that tends to happen. As a woman I see what lying destructive creatures they are. But Drake is not like those men at all. He’s strong, confident, and caring all at the same time.
